The members of the Triple Threat Club—crime reporter Cassidy, FBI agent Nicole, and federal prosecutor Allison—are no strangers to solving crimes. Former federal prosecutor and Fox News analyst Lis Wiehl, with the help of April Henry, has already put the trio through their paces in three previous adventures.
In Eyes of Justice, the fourth entry in the series, Wiehl shakes things up, with one of the club’s members murdered. The remaining two members become obsessed with finding the killer, but does the killer also have them in his/her sights? Enter Ophelia — a rich, reclusive private investigator who wants to help the club find out who killed their friend.
Eyes of Justice is an action-packed novel, full of twists and turns that will keep you off-balance and guessing about the killer’s identity until the very end. And even at the end, there are unanswered questions. So is Ophelia officially the third member of the Triple Threat Club? Will there be more Triple Threat Club books? Only time will tell for sure, but it certainly seems likely that the club has found its replacement member.
This book was my first experience with the Triple Threat Club, but I did not feel like I was left in the dark or confused because I hadn’t read the first three books. I enjoyed the realness of the characters and the way they interacted. Their unique personalities and abilities combine for an enjoyable read. I love a great mystery, and this definitely was one.
On a scale of 1 to 5, I give Eyes of Justice a 4.
